The Delivery Set for the Morgan Lens (part number MT202)
The Morgan Lens Delivery Set consists of specialized I.V. tubing that can be attached to two Morgan Lenses, conveniently providing simultaneous irrigation of both eyes. Use of the Delivery Set saves time and money, since it eliminates the need for two separate I.V. setups. The rate of flow may be controlled with the attached roller clamp. The Delivery Set may also be used when irrigating one eye as the necessary pinch clamp is included.
Ocular injuries are often bilateral, but the pain in one eye masks the pain in the other, or nerve damage may have created an analgesic effect (especially with alkali burns). Unless the second eye is completely asymptomatic, comfortable, and no pathology is discovered, immediate irrigation should be started in both eyes.
Please note that, when ordering, you will receive one set of tubing with the drip chamber, spike and the necessary clamps that may attached to one or two lenses to one bag of solution in order to irrigate one patient. Morgan Lenses must be ordered separately. Click here for more information on the Morgan Lens Delivery Set.
The Medi-Duct fluid collection device (part number MT63)
Designed specifically for use with the Morgan Lens, the Medi-Duct fluid management system simplifies the process of ocular irrigation, eliminating the need for towels, blue pads, or other fluid collection devices. Using the included adhesive strip, the Medi-Duct may be attached to the face beneath the irrigated eye. The super-absorbent inner material wicks away the irrigating fluids, making eye irrigation more comfortable and the collection and disposal of the fluids more convenient.
